Our Client, a Major International offshore contractor in the oil & gas industry, active in Offshore Transportation & Installation, Pipeline & Subsea Construction, Pipeline Design & Subsea Technology, requires Snr or expert Pipelay Project Engineers to join a busy team working in the Engineering & Operations Dept at their UK Head Offices in SurreyCandidates should have an appropriate Engineering Degree (or equivalent)
With a min 3 years experience of offshore pipelaying operations for rigid steel pipelines at a senior level.
Knowledge of:- OFFpipe, Ariane, crackwise, MOSES and Sage Profile, MathCAD, AutoCAD software
A Principal engineer to be responsible for the coordination and input into all aspects of company subsea proposals, including development of tender strategies, responses to tender pre-qualifications and construction / design assistance to various projects.
Tender responsibilities including the development of project schedules and installation methodologies using company construction fleet capability. Involving, but is not limited to, pre-lay construction, pipeline / umbilical installation, plough / backfill / trenching operations, subsea structures installation, survey, positioning, ROV and diving services.
Responsible for sourcing of subcontracted services and subsequent commercial / technical evaluation. Subcontracted services cover; detailed design, linepipe / coatings / umbilicals procurement, spools and manifold fabrication, landfalls, horizontal drilling, dredging, rock dumping, test & pre-commissioning.
Responsible for development of the technical qualification / clarification risk registers and closeout of risk issues during contracts negotiation.
